Marcel and Biréli
together! First concerts of extraordinarily
gifted young lads in front of parents
at Manouche functions. Rare moments
in the company of two exceptional artists
with hearts as good as gold!
Marcel
Azzola
A monument! He is inducted into the
halls of the Grévin Museum for
good. A one in a million swingman who
never fails to dazzle his audience
at any tempo.
Yorguy
Loeffler
Yorguy Loeffler is
considered to be one of Alsace’s
exceptional manouche guitarists. He
was introduced to it by his uncle at
the age of 14 and now constantly improves
himself all on his own. A tireless worker,
he became a music personality, who,
while taking into account the heritage
of the great Django Reinhardt, enriches
his repertoire with diverse influences.
Each time he takes the stage, he impresses
by his virtuosity and inventiveness.

With an endearing
work style, Marcel Loeffler is an internationally
acclaimed accordeonist. The manouche
musician’s formative years were
in Django Reinhardt’s era, but
he has added other colours to his musical
palette, such as rock and sounds from
Maghreb and had a similar experience
while on tour in a camper throughout
France with Nilda
Fernadez. “His music moves
me, the Spanish feel to it, flamenco
has manouche origins,” explains
the artist who is getting ready for
Canada..

Gautier Laurent on string bass, Josélito,
Cédric and Yorguy Loeffler on
the guitar and Marcel on the accordion.
On the bass, with delicate, rounded
phrasing, Gilles Coquard displays a rare
sense of balance. He effortlessly glides
into the groove of the accordionist. These
talented improvisers are certainly not
lacking in modernity in any way. Their
approach to jazz is not engrained in the
past. They are present.

Duo with
Mandino Reinhardt
“Between Mandino and me, there
are long years of friendship. And in the
music, this manouche touch is a plus.
When I work with Mandino, I bring the
arrangements that I keep in my head or
on tape. Then together, we create real
music atmospheres. When I work with other
musicians I rarely have the profound relationship
that I enjoy with Mandino.”

rêvée, il s’y exerce
dès lors en autodidacte et avec
l’aide ponctuelle de pointures
du genre. Ce trio vous emmènera
du jazz manouche au tango, à
des ambiances plus douces.
